The Consortium of Turkish companies “Balikesir Elektromekanik Sanayi Tesisleri A.S. and BEST Elektrik Taahhut Ve Ticaret A.S. Consortium” represents interests in Ukraine through the REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE “BEST ELECTRIC TAAHHUT VE TIKARET ANONIM SIRKETI”. The company specializes in the manufacture of transformer equipment, mobile substations, construction and reconstruction of high voltage electrical substations.
Currently the company is carrying out works on the reconstruction of two 330kV substations in the Western region of Ukraine, which belong to the transmission system operator NPC “Ukrenergo”.
The BEST company is a manufacturer of transformer equipment, founded in 1966 in the province of Balikesir, Turkey. Since its establishment, there has been a constant development and increase in production capacity and the range of manufactured equipment. Currently, the factory’s production area is 170,000 m2. 1,300 employees, of which 300 highly specialized engineers are involved in the design, manufacture, sale, warranty and post-warranty maintenance of transformer equipment. The annual production capacity is 50,000MVA. The production covers the entire range of works from winding windings, charging the magnetic circuit, welding the tanks to further assembly, filling with oil and carrying out tests and quality control. Final tests of transformer equipment are carried out in our own high-voltage laboratories, of which we have as many as 6. Transformers are supplied to more than 90 countries of the world, these are the countries of Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the USA and Africa.
The plant manufactures a wide range of transformer equipment, in particular:
Autotransformers and transformers up to 550kV, 500MVA inclusive. Power, material base and experience allow us to manufacture autotransformers up to 750kV, 1250MVA inclusive.
Phase-shifting up to 550kV, 500МVА.
Shunt reactors up to 550kV, 350МVАp incliusive.
Transformers for electric arc furnaces up to 36kV, 360МVА.
Dry type transformer up to 72,5 kV, 40МVА.
Transformers for mobile substations.
In 2010, a subsidiary company BETAS was founded to carry out works on the construction and commissioning of electrical substations. Currently, the company has unique experience in construction:
- Open-air switchgears with classic air insulation up to 550kV.
- Gas insulated switchgears up to 550 kV.
The company also specializes in the production of mobile substations up to and including 400kV.
The company performs works both in the domestic market and in the international arena. Currently, BEST has completed or is in the process of completing projects in such countries as Ukraine, Georgia, Afghanistan, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Nigeria.
BEST would like to pay special attention to mobile substations.
That is, substations on wheels. Substations of this type make it possible to restore consumers in the shortest possible time in case of damage to existing substations caused by natural disasters or the consequences of hostilities. These substations are an excellent solution when it is necessary to reconstruct existing substations with temporary recovery of consumers from a mobile substation. The mobile type substation is placed on specialized trawls and transported in a fully assembled form.
Its own production of transformers allows to reduce the height of the power transformer by designing high-voltage inlets with supply from the bottom of the tank and manufacturing an elliptical expansion tank.
A mobile substation up to 170kV inclusive consists of two trailers, one of which houses an input cell with a surge arrester, a disconnector, a circuit breaker , a power transformer and an auxiliary transformer.
On the other trailer, there is an outdoor packaged switchgear with medium voltage cells, relay protection and accounting panels, DC auxiliary board, rectifier battery charges, equipment for remote monitoring and control of communication devices.
